MAINTENANCE  SUPERVISOR  Industrial Electrician Non-Automotive

STRAIGHT DAYS

 

DUTIES &  RESPONSIBILITIES

 

 

 

A)    Plan, schedule & direct the operation of the mechanical, electrical trades

 

 

 

 

 

 

B)    Coordinate with the Maintenance Coordinator the scheduling of work assignments, equipment maintenance and preventative maintenance programs

 

 

 

 

 

 

C)     Analyze & trouble-shoot maintenance problems

 

 

 

 

 

 

D)    Actively participate in the clean-up of chemical spills as required

 

 

 

 

 

 

E)     Ensure that all company safety procedures are strictly adhered to

 

 

 

 

 

 

F)     Address all safety concerns either raised by workers or from safety audits

 

 

 

 

 

 

G)    Complete accident investigations & ensure corrective measures are taken

 

 

 

 

 

 

H)    Participate in all work refusals that occur during your shift

 

 

 

 

 

 

I)       Participate in the investigation of all accidents

 

 

 

 

 

 

J)       In conjunction with the HR Dept., ensure that workers are properly trained to perform their jobs safely

 

 

 

 

 

 

K)     Provide leadership to the department, ensure required employee training & performance appraisals are received

 

 

 

 

 

 

L)      Assist the Maintenance Coordinator with continuous improvement of maintenance procedures & systems

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

 

 

 

 

 

Experienced in all aspects of Industrial maintenance with an emphasis on hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.  3-5 years prior supervisory experience in maintenance or engineering preferred.  Preference will be given to those applicants with a Mechanical Engineering degree or diploma, industrial trade certificate or equivalent.  Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
