MAINTENANCE MANAGER, STAMPING X Initiates, implements, and manages the plant maintenance within the automotive industry with an emphasis on planning/scheduling and preventative/predictive maintenance. X Responsible for effectively planning, managing and coordinating all activities of Engineering/Maintenance with all other departments and functions X Supports equipment upgrades and installations by conferring and collaborating with design engineers and operations to coordinate the activities of the maintenance staff X Facilitates and delivers Project status updates on results such as milestone achievement, schedule and next key deliverables, and people such as obstacles to performance and solutions to remove and/or escalation for resolution X Ensures documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately X Reviews the operation of plant equipment and systems routinely, to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipates and solves problems in a timely manner and identifies opportunities for improvement X Directs, maintains, and enforces the safety program and training for the maintenance department; reviews safety records to uphold standards of maximum safety for all maintenance mechanics and electrical. Maintains safety, health and environmental procedures X Works closely with manufacturing managers to coordinate activities with plant operations. Communicates directly with the operations department to plan maintenance outages and repair work in process areas. Implements programs and procedures required ensuring plant cleanliness X Ensure that while meeting manufacturing objectives and quality requirements that deliverables also comply with regulatory requirements Education: Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mech., Elec.) or related field Experience: X Minimum 6 years of related experience with a minimum of 3 years in a management capacity ****Experience working in a manufacturing, automotive facility, preferably in a stamping/presses environment Skills Required: X Requires mechanical and electrical expertise and experience in troubleshooting and problem solving X Demonstrated understanding of engineering theories and principles X Strong interpersonal skills, essential in dealing with people at all levels and in a variety of functions X Able to influence and motivate others to quickly achieve results X Demonstrated knowledge of Canadian Engineering standards X Six Sigma, Lean or TPS experience /certification desired X Knowledge of automation systems an asset
