  • Establish production priorities for manufacturing food products to meet sales demand
  • Deliver high quality, customer-acceptable products by enforcing quality standards and developing on-going and continuous improvement
  • Production planning and scheduling of staff and operations with a quarterly view
  • Review production and operational information and resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to maintain optimal costs and prevent operational delays
  • Monitor/manage machine and equipment maintenance/inspection to ensure operational performance and optimum utilization at reasonable cost
  • Maintain documentation for production processes and procedures; and plant maintenance
  • Meet production and packaging objectives; and track to optimize the cost of production
  • Manage and control optimal inventory levels to meet sales demand
  • Lead new product development and product quality improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and enforcement of GMPs and HACCP
  • Communicate frequently and effectively with the organization; and, as directed by the CEO
  • Communicate, enforce and lead by example all company values, policies, and procedures
  • Maintain compliance with and improve performance toward health, safety and environmental regulations and established goals
  • Work collaboratively with the CEO and other managers to achieve the long-term Co-op Goals
  • Balance attainment of short-term goals and daily management while continuing to work on long-term productivity improvement strategies
  • Implement and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures for a Green House Operation

Qualifications / Skills Required:

  • Minimum 6 years production and people management experience in the food industry
  • Strong leadership skills to implement continuous improvement systems and methods
  • Ability to work in a demanding environment with sensitivity, creativity, flexibility
  • Solid technical skills related to Food Production and Food Safety
  • Superior ability plan and prioritize with a sense of urgency
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Intermediate computer knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to coach, motivate and develop employees in a team atmosphere
  • Collaborative management style to work with the Management Team
  • Knowledge Packaging would be an asset
